Abstract
Tricholblastic fibroma is a rare benign tumor of hair germ with mixed epithelial-mesenchymal components.
A 64-year-old female presented with an asymptomatic, skin-colored, firm nodule on the left knee joint. Histopathologic examination showed multiple tumor islands and strands composed of basaloids cells embedded in a moderately cellular
fibroblastic
stroma and the formation of bud-like extension of tumor cell nest. The peripheral basaloid cells showed a palisading arrangement and small keratinous cysts were formed in tumor islands. (Kor J Dermatol 1994 ; 32(4) 687~690)
